About me

What I Do

I am a Communication Arts student at the Philippine Women’s University, developing my skills in communication, media, writing, and storytelling through various academic projects and activities.

What I want

My goal is to pursue a career in sports journalism or sports reporting.

Having played volleyball for 12 years, I developed a deep appreciation for sports and the people behind every game. After stepping away from playing, I discovered a new perspective through writing, reporting, and interviewing.

A statement from coach Clarence “Aying” Esteban particularly influenced me:

“Hindi naman alam ng mga nanonood kung ano ang nararamdaman mo during the game, kung ano ang pinagdaanan n’yo papunta sa kung nasaan kayo. Ang alam lang nila ay ang panalo at talo.”

This reminded me that sports are more than scores and results. They are also about the journeys, sacrifices, strategies, and emotions behind every performance.

Through Beyond the Sidelines, I hope to tell those stories and give people a closer look at what happens beyond the game.
